Police hope for tips on anniversary of Madison Scott disappearance

Today marks three years since Madison Scott of Vanderhoof disappeared.

The 20 year old was last seen at 3am on May 28th, 2011, when she was going to her tent at Hogsback Lake.

North District RCMP Corporal Dave Tyreman says as time goes by, investigators hope to receive more information soon.

“As we go on, we have a team of dedicated investigators pushing forward with this. With time going by, it sometimes creates an opportunity for us; in regards that somebody who has some information is now willing to come forward or there’s been a lifestyle change for somebody, feeling that ‘hey, you know, it’s the right time for me to come forward’.”

Tyreman says anyone with any information can contact Crimestoppers or their local police detachment.

Posters to raise awareness of Scott’s disappearance are offering a 100 thousand dollar reward for any information leading to an arrest and conviction of someone responsible.
