Quesnel RCMP seize guns and drugs

The Quesnel RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit executed a search warrant in relation to a manufacturing firearms investigation on Thursday. (Jan 30)

Sergeant Clay Kronebusch says they executed a search warrant in the 700 block of Avison Avenue at around 9:30 a.m.

“Police seized 9 firearms, multiple firearm parts, 150 cartons of contraband cigarettes, 60 grams of methamphetamine, one ounce of cocaine, seven grams of crack cocaine, 2 3D printers, and approximately $4,800 in cash.”

A 35-year old man was arrested and has since been released pending further investigation.

Once complete, Kronebusch says the results of the investigation will be sent to the BC Prosecutor’s Office for assessment of appropriate charges.
