Suspicious packages prompt evacuation of Vanderhoof post office

The Vanderhoof RCMP responded to a suspicious occurrence at the Vanderhoof Canada Post Office today (Friday).

Police said a number of suspicious packages containing a powder was located, with the substance yet to be identified.

They added the post office was evacuated out of an abundance of caution.

No further details are available, as an investigation is ongoing, and more information may be released as it becomes available.
