Community assists Ukrainians with improving English following program cuts

Prince George residents are continuing to assist Ukrainians by helping improve their English language skills.

Last month, the College of New Caledonia announced three programs would be cancelled due to budget constraints. This included the English Language program.

With the cancellation of the program, volunteers have been coming to St. George Ukrainian Catholic Church on Thursday nights at 7:00 to help with conversational English.

The weekly event was organized by the Ukrainian community, with assistance from community volunteers.
