City of PG to host Park Planning Forum

The city of Prince George will be hosting a meeting on the future of Darren Fitzpatrick Bravery Park.

The presentation will include concept designs for a skate park that the community has been talking about for some time.

“The Nechako Rotary Club came together with the Hart Community Association and the City of Prince George to partner to not only build a skate park in the Hart, but also to do it at the Darren Fitzpatrick Bravery Park and create more of a community destination in the Hart.” said Park Planner Laurie-Ann Kosec.

Following the presentation the city will be looking for feedback from residents.

“Once we’ve collected all the feedback, we’re looking to finalize the designs and develop cost estimates so that we can look at our budget and try to go after fundraising to hopefully construct a park by 2016.” said Kosec.

Those who can’t attend the meeting can see the designs online at the City of Prince George website, and provide feedback through an online form.

The meeting will take place this Thursday at the Hart Pioneer Centre beginning at 6PM.
