Cariboo breaks the Ice

The Cariboo Cougars improved to 8-4-2 on the season after a pair of resounding road wins against the Kootenay Ice in BC Major Midget Hockey action.

On Saturday, the Cougars coasted to a 6-2 win thanks to a pair of goals from Colten Thomas and a three point effort from Jeremy Gervais.

Riley Coish, Chase Dubois and Mason Richey also scored singles.

This afternoon was an 8-1 result thanks to the hot stick of Tyler Maser who netted a hat-trick.

Reid Perepeluk also netted a pair while Tyler Ho, Mason Richey and Jeremy Gervias potted goals for Cariboo.

The lone Ice goal was scored by Shawn Campbell.

The Cougars begin a 10 game home stand next weekend from Kin 1 against the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds starting on Saturday at 7:15 and then on Sunday at 9:15 in the morning.
