Radon test kits sell out at City Hall, more on the way

Prince George seems to have gotten the message to test their homes for Radon Gas.

100 discounted tested kits sold out quickly at City Hall today

The Services Centre says they have ordered another 100 kits that should arrive by the end of the week, the price will remain at $16.

If the second order of kits is also bought up by residents, people can buy them year-round via the usual radon test kit vendors: Northern Health and the BC Lung Association’s Radon Aware campaign.

The city has proclaimed November ‘Radon Awareness month’ is response to a study last year that showed one in three homes had dangerous levels of the cancerous gas.
