4H Members Show their Colours

Don’t be surprised if you see more people wearing green today.

4H is celebrating their annual Show Your Colours Day.

Members and Sponsors will be wearing Green to show their support for 4H Canada, as the youth organization begins registration for the upcoming year.

“I think it helps me grow as a person and I know that it can help every other 4H member grow just like that” said 4H BC Ambassador Mackenzie Kerr. “So I think that everyone should have the experience to be in 4H and grow and succeed like I have.”

She says there are a lot of misconceptions about who 4H is for.

“It is not just for country people. If you live in town we have a whole long list of non-animal projects and we have public speaking competitions and there’s travel opportunities” said Kerr. “It’s so much more than just cows and horses and pigs.”

Show your 4H Colours day is part of National 4H Month.
