Theatre Northwest and CMHA partner for the Gift of Hope

Theatre Northwest is partnering with the Canadian Mental Health Association for the holidays.

The Theatre is putting on a steam-punk adaptation of the holiday classic “A Christmas Carol” and collecting donations towards CMHA’s Gift of Hope Campaign.

“It’s definitely family friendly.” “There are some spooky moments with the ghosts but certainly there isn’t anything that a family would find inappropriate.” said Carli Staub with Theatre Northwest.

The Gift of Hope program provides a Christmas dinner and stocking to people living with mental illness and their families. Donations can be dropped off at each performance of “Scrooge” this season or at the CMHA offices on 3rd avenue.

Those hoping to take in the show should move quickly.

“If you are thinking of coming, please get your tickets quickly” said Staub. “We’ve already sold over a thousand tickets and that doesn’t count our season ticket holders.”

The theatre will be accepting donations as long as the show is running, until December 10th.
