Pipe bombs, rifle seized in Ahbau Street police raid

A long list of charges have been approved against two people in relation to a police raid on a home on Ahbau Street last week.

Dustin Olson and Meranda Dingwall have both been hit with seven charges in connection to an investigation and search warrant carried on on Ahbau Street on November 19th 2015. Both are residents of Prince George and are well known to police.

A loaded SKS rifle, two live pipe bombs and bomb building materials were found during the search

24 year old Dustin Olson has been charged with;

· Possession of an Explosive Device (2 counts)
· Careless Storage of a Firearm
· Possession of a Prohibited Device
· Possession of a Firearm Knowing that the Serial Number had been Altered, Defaced or Removed
· Possession of a Prohibited Weapon without a Licence
· Possession of a Loaded Prohibited Firearm without Authorization

23 year old Meranda Dingwall has been charged with

· Possession of an Explosive Device (2 counts)
· Careless Storage of a Firearm
· Possession of a Firearm Knowing that the Serial Number had been Altered, Defaced or Removed
· Possession of a Prohibited Weapon without a Licence
· Possession of a Loaded Prohibited Firearm without Authorization
· Possession of a Prohibited Device Dangerous to the Public Peace

Olson will remain in custody until his first court date on December 1st. Dingwall will make her first appearance in court today.

Prince George RCMP, North District RCMP and the BC RCMP Explosive Disposal Unit all participated in Thursday’s investigation.
