SPCA Claws back Cat Adoption Costs

The time is right for residents looking to pick up a furry family member in the near future.

The Northern Cariboo SPCA Branch is reducing adoption costs for adult cats to try and get more felines into forever homes.

“We are doing adult cats for 50% off of the adoption prices to help alleviate the numbers in our shelter and make room for the kitties coming in from the cold weather.” said North Cariboo Branch Manager Jamie Walsh.

She says shelter space can sometimes be an issue in the winter with more cats coming out of the cold and into the SPCA.

“We have quite a number of cats. Orange cats, black cats, white cats, Siamese kittens, we’re full” said Walsh. “We have quite a few in foster care and then lots coming in from the cold weather.”

The campaign ends on November 30th. The cost of adoption includes vaccinations, spaying or neutering and permanent ID.
