WHL:

The regular season officially kicked off for the Prince George Cougars yesterday (Friday) after a 6-1 victory over the Portland Winterhawks at home.

The two teams play again tonight at the CN Centre, with puck drop at 6.

BCHL:

The Prince George Spruce Kings started their regular season in Chilliwack yesterday, where they fell 6-2 to the Chiefs.

The Spruce Kings next game will be at home on Friday, as they host the Surrey Eagles at 7 p.m..

BC Football Conference:

The Prince George Kodiaks have a bye week this week.

Their next game is at home on September 27th against the Kamloops Broncos at 6 p.m..

Canada West Soccer:

The UNBC Timberwolves are on the road this weekend.

The UNBC men play in Calgary today at 1 p.m. and at Mount Royal tomorrow at 2 p.m..

The UNBC women visit TRU in Kamloops this afternoon at 1:00.

CFL:

Two games remain in week 16 of the CFL regular season.

As the Ottawa REDBLACKS host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at noon.

Then at 4 p.m., the Edmonton Elks visit Hamilton to face the Tiger-Cats.
