Prince George’s main fastball diamond seems to be a popular target for offenders lately.
According to a Facebook post, Spruce City Stadium is dealing with its third attempted break and enter this year.
The men’s fastball league, which is run by volunteers and goes from May to August just finished hosting a year-end tournament to raise money to keep up with the rising costs of electricity and supplies, along with the hope of investing in a new field tractor.
Instead, the post goes on to say the league will likely be forced to spend any extra cash they do have on fixing doors and repairing damage caused by these break-ins.
Due to the recent criminal activity, the league is strongly considering investing in security cameras to protect the fields which will also lead to the added expense of installing Wi-Fi.
