Primetime Wresting set to open season this weekend

Primetime Wrestling will be opening their season this weekend with a pair of shows at the Prince George Civic Centre.

“We’ve got some great matches, including a rematch between the Caribroozers and our tag champions the Handsome Devils,” said Primetime CEO Davy Greenlees.

“We have a Heavyweight Champion title match on Friday night, a fella, Mustapha Jordan coming from Quebec City to take on Andy Anderson. On Saturday, our main event is Jason the Terrible, who is a retired wrestler, very famous, is coming out of retirement to join up with the Barlow Creek Butcher, and take on nothing but trouble, which is Vance Nevada and Andy Anderson.”

Greenlees added there will be a special face-painting contest on Saturday.

“If you come with your best Mauler face paint, we’re going to do a contest and the winner of that contest will take home two 2026 season passes for Primetime shows,” he said.

Greenlees noted they usually take the summer off and start up again in September, with shows every two months until May or June.

For this weekend’s shows, funds raised will go towards the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation.

“They’re going to put it towards the adolescent psychiatric ward, trying to make that a little bit more pleasant of a stay, less institutionalized,” Greenlees said.

Additionally, Greenlees said they’re putting on a pair of shows in Fort St. James, tonight (Wednesday) and tomorrow (Thursday) at the Kwah Hall.
