What the Hoch? Spruce Kings add Minnesota defender to the roster

From the State of Hockey to Prince George.

The Spruce Kings signed of 19-year-old Minnesota-born defenseman Robby Hoch today (Thursday).

He played High School Hockey for Edina last season. In 31 games, Hoch scored once and added 11 assists.

In three seasons, Hoch played 89 games, scoring five times and adding 28 assists. He won the Minnesota Boys State Hockey Championship in 2024.

“Robby is a very dependable player with good size and mobility. His addition gives us much more depth with our D core.” said Mike Hawes, Spruce Kings general manager.

PG hosts the Surrey Eagles in their home opener tomorrow night (Friday) at 7pm from the Kopar Memorial Arena.

One lucky fan will win between $10,900 and $75,000 in the FACEOFF 50/50 Draw.
