Prince George resident putting love of Halloween into competition and charity

While Halloween is over a month away, Prince George has some representation in Colossal’s Face of Halloween competition.

Erika Crossan has been a horror buff ever since she was a kid, reading a lot of books and watching movies in that genre.

Crossan said the competition is done through a voting system.

“The competition started with over 200,000 people across Canada and the U.S., and luckily I’m sitting top 5 in my group.”

“Right now, there’s 3,100 groups. You can either vote for free every 24 hours, or you can vote by donation, so every dollar you donate equals one vote.”

Donations are directed towards the Starlight Children’s Foundation, which delivers toys, fun hospital wear, games, and more to terminally ill children.

Crossan said the top prize for the competition would meet three actors in the horror community, including Jamie Lee Curtis, be featured in a Halloween magazine, and $13,000 USD.

More information about the competition and where to vote for Crossan can be found here.
