Prince George Mounties are issuing a caution to parents after receiving multiple reports of tampered Halloween candy in the Blackburn area.
The reports were made by several families in the area of Bittner Road West and Bachinski Crescent, who state they found sewing needles or pins in their children’s candy.
“As these investigations continue, we want to urge parents to have another look at their kids’ candy to make sure there are no tampered pieces in there. If you find anything, make sure to report it immediately to police using our non-emergency line,” states Corporal Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
Police say the effected items have been mini chocolate bars and bagged gummy candy.
No injuries have been reported because of the tampered items.
