Prince George City Council will sit for their 2nd last meeting of the year tonight.
Councillors will be looking at implementing tax incentives to reduce costs for multi-family housing developments.
The proposed bylaw stems from a study commissioned by the Beyond Homelessness Committee that revealed a mismatch between the larger single family housing in Prince George and the smaller multi-family units that the city needs.
The study also found a lack of housing options designed to accommodate those with mobility issues.
Councillors will also be talking about removing the $30 fee residents have to pay if they want to downsize their garbage bins.
The idea was brought forward by Mayor Lyn Hall in September to encourage residents who are making an effort to reduce waste.
On average the city receives 207 requests from resident wanting to change the size of their bins.
Council may also decide to apply to the Northern Development Initiative for a 9,000 dollar grant to help fund a study of the Pine Valley Golf Course.
The Pine Valley Golf Centre Improvement Study would assess the potential for reconfiguring the golf course to include a new driving range and the possibility of upgrading the irrigation system.
