Victoria announces re-training funding for Quesnel mill workers

The College of New Caledonia in Quesnel has received $150,000 worth of funding from the Provincial Government.

Victoria made the announcement Tuesday morning.

CNC president Henry Reiser says the money is to provide job skills training and re-training opportunities for workers affected by the closure of the Canfor sawmill.

Reiser says some of the courses could start at early as this month.

The mill closure affected roughly 200 workers.
