PG farming community gathering to discuss ending world hunger

The farming community from Prince George and the surrounding area will be getting together for an event around world hunger.

It’s being put on by the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, and covers how local food producers are working with them to end world hunger, and making a global difference through the community farming groups they participate in.

The event will be showing a film titled A Legacy Taking Root, as well as conversations, food, and a keynote message from British Columbia regional representative Jet Takaoka to hear about how PG residents are contributing toward a world without hunger.

The event takes place tonight (Thursday) at 7 p.m. at the Immigrant and Multicultural Services Society building (1270 2nd Avenue).

More information about the Canadian Foodgrains Bank can be found here.
