Cougars stretch streak with victory in Vancouver

The Prince George Cougars scored twice in each period and rallied from a 4-3 deficit to nip the Vancouver Giants 6-5.

Chase Witala notched a hat trick and added an assist while Jansen Harkins tallied a pair of goals in the third period.

Justin Almeida scored his first WHL goal for the Cats, who were outshot 38-27.

The Cougars have won four straight on the road and five in a row overall.

They have earned 15 out of a possible 16 points in their last eight games, going 7-0-0-1.

Prince George is 6-6-1 on the road and 17-9-1-1 overall, just four points back of the 2nd place Victoria Royals in the B.C. Division and P.G. has a game in hand.

The Cougars resume action Tuesday when they host the cellar-dwelling Kootenay Ice.
