The City of Prince George website is getting a facelift.
Web development company eSolutions has been hired by the city to revamp PrinceGeorge.ca to improve accessibility to city services and simplify site navigation.
“One is just to improve the experience for people who are using the site” said City Director of External Relations Rob Van Adrichem. “The other part is really to enhance the presentation of Prince George through a revised website design and how it depicts the city.”
eSolutions was selected from a list of seven companies that submitted proposals for the redesign. The website development company has experience with more than 250 municipalities across Canada.
“We really want to rely on their experience and their expertise with helping us to develop a navigational system that is as efficient as possible, as effective as possible and really helps people to find what they’re looking for as quickly as possible.” said Van Adrichem.
The new site will feature a responsive design for use on all devices such as smartphones and tablets, as well as improved functionality for website services like online payments and pothole reporting.
Development will begin in January when the city will start collecting feedback from residents on what they want to see on the new site.
