The Saint Vincent DePaul Society is getting ready for a donation blitz.

In partnership with 94.3 The Goat and Country 97FM, the society’s Community Christmas drive begins Wednesday.

“We just honestly see what giving is all about and it touches me very deeply” said Bernie Goold with the Society. “The work that goes into it and the response that it generates is incredible.”

Donations often reach beyond Christmas and into the new year.

“Any surplus carries us through the lean months of January, February and March where people’s incomes don’t always pay their heating and lighting” said Goold.

Donations for Community Christmas can be dropped off at the radio station on Ospika and Ferry Avenue from 6AM to 6PM Wednesday and Thursday.
