Ultimate Fighting Championship president Dana White is wanting to provide a helping hand for one of the Tumbler Ridge shooting victims.
In a social media post this week, Cia Edmonds, the mother of 12-year-old, Maya Gebala, stated White offered to pay all medical expenses for her to be treated at a top hospital in Los Angeles as well as a place to stay.
Maya has been in hospital since the shooting and has undergone several treatments and procedures.
Her mother noted she is now stable enough to travel.
On Wednesday, the family had a meeting with medical professionals about leaving the Intensive Care Unit.
Gebala is currently being cared for at the BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver.
