The BC Northern Real Estate Board says Prince George continues to hold its own during the first quarter of 2026.
During the first three months, 144 single family homes have sold in the northern capital with an average price of $526,262 – an increase of $20,000 when compared to March of 2025 ($506,287).
Houghtaling told MyPGNow.com all areas of the city are getting a piece of the pie.
“The Hart and College Heights more specifically remains very strong with higher price points with consistent demand while affordable areas like east-of-the-by-pass are still attracting first time home buyers with more affordable prices.”
“We are seeing some competing offers when they are priced a little more appropriately. We are seeing very high-demand in places that are cleaned up and ready to move in and then across the north, it is a bit of a mixed market Quesnel and Williams Lake are getting some increased activity while others have slowed down a bit.”
When you break it all down by area, in the western part of the City, the median price of the 40 single-family homes that have sold was $467,000 ($459,500).
East of the by-pass, 34 single-family homes came off the market for a median value of $418,250 ($366,000). In the Hart, 26 single-detached homes sold with a median price of $611,450 ($555,000).
