Cougars Foster handed two-game suspension; Vaughan escapes supplemental discipline

The WHL has made their decision on the playing status of two Prince George Cougars.

Aiden Foster has been given a two-game suspension after receiving a five-minute major and a game misconduct for elbowing during Wednesday’s 5-2 Game 4 loss to the Penticton Vees at CN Centre.

Corbin Vaughan will not be suspended for his hit on Vees forward Ryden Evers, which also resulted in a five-minute major and a game misconduct for checking to the head.

This means Vaughan is eligible to play in tonight’s (Friday) Game 5 against Penticton as well as Sunday’s Game six back in PG.

In addition, the Cougars were fined $1500 for security during Wednesday’s Game 4 loss.

The series is tied 2-2.
