Local woman wins Spruce Kings Show Home Lottery

Some last-minute Christmas shopping turned into the gift of a lifetime for Claire Keehn.

The Prince George resident who bought a Spruce Kings Show Home Lottery Ticket at the Pine Centre Mall on December 6th is the lucky winner of an $865,000 home located on 2922 Links Drive in the Aberdeen Glen subdivision.

The final draw for the home was made today (Friday).

Built by Hopson Construction, the home is fully furnished and has four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Spokesperson, Kyle Anderson told MyPGNow.com. April was a record-setting month for ticket sales that exceeded expectations.

“The last two weeks, it is the best month of April we have ever had. In 14 days, we had a pretty impressive last push and the last day to see 893 tickets sold exceeded what I believed was even possible.”

He added the annual fundraiser is the life blood of the junior hockey team, due to its large operating budget, which includes, meals, hotels and equipment.

“The Show Home Lottery is the reason the Spruce Kings exist in this community and everyone’s support has really helped our organization every single year. If there is no support for the Show Home Lottery there is no hockey team.”

MyPGNow.com placed a call to Keehn for an interview but has not yet received a reponse.
