Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express will be bringing mystery to the Theatre NorthWest stage.
The play follows world famous detective Hercule Poirot who, after a murder on the train, must discover the identity of the killer before they strike again.
Director Melissa Glover said a big part of bringing this performance together is making the audience feel the environment.
“We’ve all been stuck in traffic, or in construction and sometimes if it’s longer than a certain amount of time, we all get a little antsy, so I want the audience to feel that.”
“There’s a dark undertone, so their kind of sitting on the edge of their seat and paying attention to all the details.”
While the play is adapted from a popular book, Glover said the performance will still feel fresh with some differences between the two.
As for what those differences are, Glover wouldn’t say as they contained spoilers.
Murder on the Orient Express will have its first showing on Thursday, and will go until May 20th, with 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. showings.
