A multi-unit residential structure fire in College Heights has resulted in $300,000 damage

At approximately 6:30 p.m. yesterday (Tuesday), Prince George Fire Rescue crews from four halls responded to the blaze on the 6800 block of Domano Boulevard.

Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the second floor of one of the units.

Firefighters rescued one resident from a second-floor balcony and transferred that person directly into the care of BC Ambulance Service.

Crews then initiated an aggressive interior attack to confine the fire to two units.

Emergency support services was called to provide accommodation for the displaced residents.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
