Tano T’enneh Enterprises gets new office in Downtown PG

A new office has opened up in Downtown Prince George for Tano T’enneh Enterprises (Tano) on 5th Avenue.

Tano, which is the business and economic development arm of the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation, was established a year ago to guide future business and economic development in its traditional territory and generate new revenues to support the nation.

CEO Evan Salter talked about the importance of having their own location.

“We’re very proud to have a separate building. Having a separate operations (building) when it comes to business and profit orientated enterprises, it’s always beneficial, because you want to keep politics and business separate.”

Salter added that having an office also shows tangible growth, as over the past year they’ve been able to double their investments and assets, and predicts that growth will be expanded going forward.

As for Tano’s future, he highlights the numerous projects happening in and around PG, such as the Sunrise Expansion Project from Enbridge, that the amount of work and opportunity they will be able to expand into is exponential.

Salter said they officially moved into the new building at beginning of March after buying it late last year.
