Bus evacuated in 100 Mile House

100 Mile House RCMP responded to a report of a man with a gun on a bus.

Sergeant Brian Lamb says it was travelling through the area on Saturday (June 6).

“The bus stopped in 100 Mile House and the passengers were safely evacuated. The male, who was sleeping at the time, was quickly taken into custody without incident.”

Lamb says the suspect was searched and an imitation handgun was located on his person.

“The male was arrested for possession of a weapon and was also found to be on conditions not to possess firearms or imitation firearms.”

The suspect was held in custody but has since been released to appear in court on a future date.
