A war hero from Vanderhoof will be remembered Friday.
A ceremony will be held at Ferland Park at 1:30 to mark the memory of Lance Corporal Andrew James Finnie who died during the Normandy campaign on Juno Beach 70 years ago on June 6, 1944.
Evan Parliament is the Deputy Administrator with the District of Vanderhoof.
359 Tribute Markers – one for each Canadian killed on Juno Beach – will be erected in Normandy.
