Shift into Fun: Prince George Touch a Truck event returns today

A very popular end-of-summer gathering is returning to the city today (Friday).

The Prince George Public Library’s Touch a Truck event is being held at Civic Plaza
from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., bringing more than a dozen vehicles together.

This year’s lineup includes the Rocky Mountain Rangers, BC Ambulance, PG Fire Rescue and YRB along with some exciting firsts.

For the first time ever, a City of Prince George Zamboni will be in attendance.

Tourism Prince George is also providing a mini-rail ride during the event.

“Touch a Truck is exactly what a public library should be. A place where the community comes together, families have fun and kids can discover something new,” said Steve Hamilton, Manager of Communications & Engagement.

“We’re thrilled to bring back this event and give families the chance to get hands-on with the people and vehicles that help make our community work.”

The event also includes free hot dogs by donation.
