Cariboo-Prince George federal riding renamed

Elections Canada has given one of our local federal ridings a new name.

As of last week (September 16th), the Cariboo-Prince George constituency will now be called Cariboo-Prince George-Omineca.

The riding has been held by longtime Conservative MP Todd Doherty, who was first elected in 2015.

Doherty initiated the change following consultations with the voting public, mainly situated in the Vanderhoof-area to more accurately reflect the geographical area.
