President, Jason Fawcett told MyPGNow.com it’s a successful completion of a vision that took several years to complete.

“It’s taken us four years and it’s been a lot of work but we are very pleased with how its turned out. We are proud of the response with the buildings very full and we will continue to own these buildings for many years.”

He added the sizeable project had its challenges but was quite pleased with how it turned out.

“We did start during COVID and there were certainly trade shortages and some cost pressures all along the building industry. I think that has been our biggest challenge is having enough workers and some of the costs to finish the building.”

The Fawcett family has long-standing roots in Prince George dating back to 1942 when executive director and company founder Ron Fawcett grew up near the Millar Addition adjacent to 7th Avenue.

Ron got his start in rental property management in the early 1960s when he purchased a rental investment suite, followed 13 years later by the acquisition of the first full apartment building in South Kamloops.

Those investments spurred his interest and paved the way for growing the successful property management company which is now over 80-employees strong and reaches into ten cities in B.C. and Alberta.

“My grandfather had businesses in Prince George and when my father started in the real estate business in Kamloops we came back to Prince George in the 1980’s buying, maintaining and renovating older apartments. Over the last few years, we have been developing completing our fourth building.” added Jason.

The new complex, adjacent to the Forest Glen, Forest Glen III and Carriage House Apartments features a gym, shared amenity space along with underground parking and in-suite laundry.

Rental prices range from $1575 – $2,250 per month.

Other complexes run by Kelson in the northern capital includes Paradise Park Apartments (1st Avenue), Spruceland Manor (15th Avenue), Ashbury Court (Garvin Street), Midtowne Apartments (Bowser Avenue), Pine Grove Manor and Kelson Court (Ahbau Street) and Hartley Manor (15th Avenue).
