If you plan on making a dump run, you’ll have to wait until the end of the week.
Foothills Boulevard Regional Landfill and four Prince George-area transfer stations will be closed today (Tuesday) and tomorrow (Wednesday) due to construction according to the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George.
The Foothills location is getting a new scale house and office trailer, and the site needs to be closed during the installation.
As a result, the following transfer stations will also need to be closed on the same days:
- Buckhorn Regional Transfer Station
- Chief Lake Regional Transfer Station
- Shelley Regional Transfer Station
- Vanway Regional Transfer Station
The timing of the project closes the sites for only one business day.
The landfill and four transfer stations will return to their regular operating schedules on Thursday after the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
