UNBC gearing up for first ever UNBC Week

UNBC will be celebrating all things UNBC as the university gets ready to host the first-ever UNBC Week.

“UNBC Week is an opportunity to open the doors a little wider and invite the community to experience the people, programs and spirit that make this University part of the fabric of northern B.C.,” said Interim President Dr. Bill Owen. “From discovering what UNBC has to offer, to cheering on the Timberwolves and reconnecting with alumni, there are many ways to be part of the week and to celebrate the connections between campus and community.”

Starting on Monday, Oct. 19, Mr. PG will be flying a special UNBC flag, signaling an invitation for the community to visit the campus for a series of events showcasing the people, programs and traditions that are part of UNBC, including:

October 21 – Timberwolves Legacy Night with Karina LeBlanc

Former member of Canada’s national women’s soccer team and Olympic bronze medallist Karina LeBlanc will headline the event, which brings together alumni, donors, community leaders, University supporters and guests in support of UNBC student-athletes.

October 23 – Discovery Day

In addition, UNBC JDC West students will be hosting their Chillin for Charity fundraising event in the Agora Courtyard.
