UBCM presidency awarded to another northern politician

Fraser Lake’s mayor is the new President of the Union of BC Municipalities.

Sarrah Storey was named to the role today (Monday), replacing Prince George City Councillor Cori Ramsay.

Storey is beginning her third term as mayor in Fraser Lake and has served various roles within the UBCM since 2020.

Jenna Stoner was first selected to the president’s role in September – however, she was unable secure the mayor’s chair in Squamish.

Keith Page, a councillor for Nelson in the Kootenays, will remain in his role as 3rd Vice President.
