BCTF votes to walk-out

BC teachers have voted 86% in favour of walking off the job.

BCTF President Jim Iker is thankful for the support he’s seen, and says supporters can take things farther by getting the word out.

Three days’ notice must be given before a full walkout is launched meaning students could be out of school two weeks before summer break.

Iker, much like the government, has stressed that he wants a deal reached before the end of June.
