Stats Canada unveiled the new Employment Insurance numbers for both B.C. and Prince George.
Recruit Analyst, Gordon Song says the city saw another increase.
“Britsh Columbia has little change in the number of beneficiaries for December which was down by 0.5% while Prince George saw an increase of 30 people.”
That equates to 53,620 recipients in the province while Prince George has 1920.
The year over year numbers in B.C. show an increase of 6.2% while Alberta has seen a jump of 100% during the same period.
