District 57 under strike action today

IMG_3879

Prince George schools are closed under strike action, again.

Though there is still a chance a deal could be reached before a long-term strike, some on the picket lines aren’t sure there’s enough of a school year left to make a difference.

Science teacher Skye Campbell says most exams aren’t likely, but provincials are still a go.

He also feels the government could have come to a deal by now “if they really wanted to”.

Most teachers and supporters are picketing outside of the district office on Ferry Avenue today, with over a hundred per four shifts, and smaller pickets outside of each public school.
