Three local businesses in Prince George will be getting Cash Mobbed this spring.
The Prince George Chamber of Commerce and Hell Yeah Prince George are bringing back the initiative and Chamber CEO, Christie Ray says the 2016 edition will see a slight difference.
“We had such success with the four cash mobs we did last year that we decided to go a little further into the concept this year and will bring three cash mobs to the community between March and May.”
So how does a Cash Mob work? “Basically, we are encouraging people to support a local business. Everybody gathers over a certain time period and spend at least $20 while having a lot of fun doing it”, says Ray.
Ray adds Chamber membership is a must along with other criteria such as mob-ability and community support.
Nominations open Thursday morning and run until Monday via the Chamber and HYPG Facebook pages.
