The Northern Capitals female midget AAA hockey team lifts the curtain on this year’s playoffs on Friday.
They host the Thompson Okanagan Lakers at 6:15 from the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena with games 2 and 3 set for Kin 2 on Saturday and Sunday.
Caps Defenseman, Victoria Byer says the group is doing their best to shake off the rust after the bye-week. “It is a little worry but we have practiced hard over the past little bit and we are just going to come out hard and know what we have to do.”
Caps Forward, Marissa Nichol says it would be nice to add another provincial championship in her final season. “I think being a third-year it would be a really good way to end my minor hockey career and would be great for the other girls too.”
The Capitals finished the regular season with a 21-6-3 record while Lakers were 15-9-6.
Puck drop for games’s 2 and 3 are 3:15 pm and 11:30 am.
