City staff looking at more street improvements down the road

Road workers continue to improve gravel roads throughout the city.

Council heard a report at Monday night’s meeting, which explored methods to better our roads.

Public workers General Manager Dave Dyer says things like sealants would better gravel streets, which end up costing more in the long run.

“There’s a higher cost for maintenance of our gravel roads then there is for our milled roads, and the running surface is a harder surface so you don’t get the potholes or the washboard,” he says.

Dyer will make a presentation to council soon with potential projects.
