Gas prices in Prince George remain the best in B.C. despite drivers now paying 92.9 cents a litre at some locations.
Other gas stations are between the 82 to 85 cent range.
Senior Petroleum Analyst with Gasbuddy.com, Dan McTeague says PG still has a sizeable edge on other cities.
“If you look at the wholesale price of gas in Prince George compared to Kamloops, Kelowna, or anywhere else you are looking at a 6 or 7 cent advantage because both cities (Kamloops and Kelowna) have to be pipelined.”
Wholesale prices in Chicago are also a factor in the jump.
Last month, the market was between 53 and 54 cents a gallon but has now sky-rocketed to $1.20 a gallon.
