City Council meeting with 7 local groups Monday

Seven local groups will meet with Prince George Council tonight (Monday).

Council will hear each presenter’s 2015 annual report and its plans for the upcoming year.

The Select Committee on Education will present. The group is striving to better grade-school integration, and explore more international opportunities.

Also presenting is the Prince George Heritage Commission. It’s focusing on updating some signs in the city and adding more properties to the Heritage Register.

The Select Committee on Student Needs plans to hold monthly meetings throughout the school year to focus on things like Recreation and Active Living, Quality of Education, and transportation.

Also presenting is the Advisory Committee on Enhancing Prince George, Advisory Committee on Accessibility, Advisory Committee on Development Design, and the Select Committee on Homelessness and Affordable Housing.

Tonight’s meeting begins at 6 PM at city hall.
