Long Form Census just around the corner

The long-form Census is making its return in 2016.

Several Sectors rely on the Census according to Assistant Regional Director Kwong Wong. “Municipalities, Social Service organizations along with the Board of Education who are all in Prince George that rely on the information.”

Residents in the city will receive a questionnaire in the mail they can fill out on-line while on-reserve residents will follow a different process.

“Stats Canada will be enumerating reserves by having them fill out the questionnaire in person, all households and dwellings will be recorded by using the Census long-form which is all the more reason to recruit and hire people on reserve.”

82 enumerator positions are available in the Fraser-Fort George area.

You must be 18 years old, a Canadian citizen or have a valid work permit in order to obtain one of the jobs.

The next Census of Population takes place in May.
