Masich Place Stadium to open this weekend

The early end to winter is giving many parks and facilities around the city the chance to open early.

Masich Place Stadium is opening this weekend, about three weeks ahead of schedule.

The gate at Masich Place Stadium is opened at dawn and locked at dusk each day of non-winter operations. The field, bleachers, and washroom facilities will not be available until later in the spring, but a portable toilet will be provided.

The public washrooms at Duchess Park and Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park will also be opening early; the first week of April.

The exception is the road up the Connaught Hill Park; the road may stay closed to vehicles until later in the spring due to road stabilization operations.
