Prince George RCMP hunting prolific graffiti vandal

The Prince George RCMP is appealing to the public for help tracking down another prolific graffiti vandal.

“This tag is new to us since the fall and is showing up a lot more often especially in the last couple of weeks, particularly in the evenings so we think this person’s out late at night.” Corporal Craig Douglass said

The suspect, going by the tag “OHGR”, has already caused several thousand dollars worth of damage.

“We are looking to identify who this person is, they are our most prolific tagger over the past few months in Prince George and have vandalized properties downtown and adjacent areas of Prince George.” Douglass said

“OHGR” is likely a male aged 15-30, who would be out at night with a backpack and spray cans. Police say he seldom goes out to commit the acts alone.

PG RCMP made a similar appeal to the public last summer (previous story), in an attempt to catch a graffiti vandal who had caused over $100,000 worth of damage.

Although they never did catch “FAKS”, Douglas says they’ve made two graffiti arrests. One individual has gone through the restorative justice program while another is awaiting a day in court.

“We want to carry that on by trying to get the public’s help to provide us with information on who this tagger is or for that matter anybody frequently tagging and causing vandalism in the community.”

Anyone with information on the vandals identity is asked to contact RCMP or Crimestoppers.
