On top of Monday’s wild grass fire that evacuated 40 homes in Prince George’s Hart Highlands area, another blaze wreaked havoc on the Foothills Landfill.
It happened just after 9 pm on Monday evening with 11 firefighters responding to the blaze.
The landfill has re-opened after a brief closure Tuesday morning and no compost sales will be taking place due to the fire.
